Kent State’s steady defensive signal-caller is emerging as a leadership anchor
In the 2025 season, Sayed Abuhamdeh appeared in all 12 games for Kent State and finished with 38 total tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks, then entered 2026 as the Golden Flashes’ returning leading tackler. His calling card is more than the box score: Kent State’s staff says he has grown into a “mike-type” communicator who aligns the defense, plays with strong football IQ, and brings calm to a young linebacker room. If your team wants a dependable, smart, physical LB with leadership juice, he’s a very reasonable fit.
