EMU’s reliable, strike-throwing righty with room to level up
In the 2024 season, Liam Baker gave Eastern Michigan a steady bullpen arm, posting a 2-0 record with a 6.08 ERA over 26.2 innings while striking out 27 and starting three games; in 2025, he redshirted due to illness. The big takeaway: he’s a durable 6-foot-2 right-hander who already showed he can miss bats, compete in multiple roles, and handle the academic/locker-room side well, but he still needs sharper run prevention to become a true impact piece. Good fit for a team that values toughness, flexibility, and upside over instant polish.
