Sidney McLaughlin brings steady two-way value for Missouri State behind the plate
McLaughlin is a reliable depth piece for Missouri State who has shown pop, contact ability and legitimate defensive value at catcher, highlighted by a .293 average with 12 hits, six RBI and just one error in 34 total chances in her senior season. She also delivered in clutch spots, including a walk-off RBI pinch hit, and has shown she can handle multiple roles by splitting time between catcher and designated player. Her profile fits a team needing a composed, versatile veteran with dependable defense, situational hitting and strong academic character.
