Promising Freshman Guard Still Finding His Footing at Buena Vista
Eli Salas is a 6'1" freshman guard from Pipe Creek, Texas, currently adjusting to college basketball at Buena Vista University. Coming off a strong high school career at Bandera (2024-25: 16.7 PPG, 4.6 APG, 5.3 RPG, 2.4 SPG), Salas brings solid ball-handling and playmaking skills with impressive steal rates. Early 2025-26 college performance suggests he's still acclimating to the pace and competition level. His high school production—particularly his assist-to-turnover ratio and defensive intensity—indicates potential as a floor general. Best fit for programs valuing developmental guards with strong fundamentals and defensive instincts.
