Reese Brooks brings size, upside, and two-way grit to the Cal Poly tight end room
Brooks entered Cal Poly as a 6-foot-4, 220-pound freshman tight end from Cedar Ridge HS with a strong all-around profile: as a senior in 2024, he posted 550 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, while also earning second-team all-district honors and showing defensive playmaking with seven interceptions and four forced fumbles. His appeal is the combo platter—frame, athleticism, basketball/track background, and toughness—and he even chipped in on defense as a true freshman. If a team wants a developmental TE with upside, versatility, and real competitive edge, he’s the kind of kid you don’t mind betting on.
