Paloma Garcia brings elite perimeter defense and growing two-way production to Merrimack
Garcia has emerged as a high-impact two-way guard for Merrimack, highlighted by a 2026 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year season, a conference-record 80 steals, and strong late-season scoring bursts. In 2024-25, she started all 31 games and averaged 9.3 points per game while leading the team in steals with 56, showing she can pressure the ball, create turnovers, and still contribute offense. Her 2025-26 stretch included double-figure scoring in seven of ten games, plus rebounding from the guard spot, making her a fit for teams that value intensity, toughness, and disruptive defense.
