Nicholls' Versatile RHP with Elite Bat Speed and Three-Sport Grit
Kaul Perkins, a 2025-class right-handed pitcher for Nicholls State (formerly Oak Forest Academy), stands out not just for his 81.1 mph max bat speed [2] and 6.90s 60-yard dash [6], but for his intense, three-sport athlete mentality that fuels high-pressure resilience [5]. Though his 2025 college ERA sits at 7.36 in limited innings [5], his differentiator is his elite hand speed (7/26/23) and versatility as a SS/RHP/2B/3B/OF [6], making him a high-upside, adaptable fit for teams needing a pitcher who can also contribute offensively or defensively. His intensity and 'goddid' personality [7] signal a player who thrives when stakes are high, ideal for teams seeking grit over pure polish.
