Houston DB Austin Anderson brings rare length and upside to the back end
Austin Anderson is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound junior defensive back for Houston who transferred in from Garden City CC and played in five games in 2025, giving the Cougars a long, developmental piece with intriguing size on the perimeter[1][9]. His profile screams matchup flexibility and special-teams value more than headline stats, and that kind of rangy DB is exactly the sort of under-the-radar add that can quietly boost a secondary if his technique keeps catching up to his frame[1][3][13].
