Hayden Moore brings versatility and real edge-rush juice to Minnesota
Moore is a high-upside ATH commit whose most interesting trait is versatility: he has worked as a linebacker and edge rusher, and recent Washington reports say the staff found a better home for him rushing the passer, where he flashed 3.5 tackles for loss in a scrimmage and has also helped on special teams.[9][11] In 2025, he appeared in all 13 games for Washington, showing he can earn a role quickly through effort and assignment reliability.[9] For Minnesota, he looks like a good fit if the Gophers want a physical, developmental defender with special-teams value and pass-rush upside rather than a pure stat-sheet star.[9][11]
