High-Velocity RHP with Elite Strikeout Ability for FIU Panthers
Jeremy Urena, a 6'0", 165-lb right-handed pitcher for the Florida International Panthers, stands out as a junior with elite strikeout potential, recording 48 strikeouts in the 2025 season alongside a 6-2 win-loss record [1]. Though his 5.69 ERA suggests room for refinement in run prevention, his ability to generate 48 SOs in limited innings highlights a differentiator: a high-intensity, aggressive pitching style that overwhelms hitters with velocity and sharp breaking balls [1]. Urena’s compact frame and right-handed delivery make him a versatile fit for teams seeking a punchy arm with upside, especially if paired with a strong defensive support system. While no public injury history is noted, his junior status and assignment to the Falmouth Commodores in 2025 indicate he’s actively developing toward professional readiness [2]. For teams prioritizing strikeout-heavy arms with growth potential, Urena is a compelling, data-backed prospect.
