Sidney Parks is a freshman arm with upside, but the ERA shows she’s still learning the college strike zone
In the 2025-26 season, IU Indianapolis pitcher Sidney Parks appeared in 12 games and made five starts, logging a 0-3 record, a 6.85 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 31.2 innings. The numbers say she’s been hit hard at times, but her usage as a freshman starter suggests the staff sees real upside in her arm. She’s a developmental fit for a team that values compete level, because young pitchers with swing-and-miss flashes can take a jump fast once command and consistency catch up.
