Griffin Naess is Cal Poly’s workhorse ace with swing-and-miss stuff and Friday-night credibility
In the 2026 season, Griffin Naess has been one of Cal Poly’s most trusted arms, including a 7.0-inning, one-hit gem with 14 strikeouts against Washington State and a season line of 1.50 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 14.0 innings early on; he later kept delivering deep, high-leverage starts for the Mustangs. At 6-foot-6, he brings power, strikeout ability, and durability, plus a track record of winning big games and earning Big West honors in 2024 and 2025. If you want a frontline righty who can miss bats and carry innings, he’s your guy.
