veteran guard with elite steal instincts and steady glue-guy value
In the 2021-22 season, Grant Weatherford was a reliable two-way senior for Georgia Southern, playing in all 29 games and averaging 2.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, a steal, and an assist while finishing his Eagles career with 120 points, 95 rebounds, 57 steals, and 37 assists.[1] His calling card was disruptive defense and maturity: earlier at Georgia Southern, he ranked among the Sun Belt leaders in steals and brought veteran, high-IQ minutes, which is the kind of underrated “winning player” profile coaches love.[1][2] If your team needs a gritty, experienced guard who embraces defense, does the little things, and won’t rattle under pressure, Weatherford fits nicely.[1][2]
