International Forward with Finishing Touch and Rebounding Instincts
The 6'9" Nigerian-American forward brings a unique skill set developed through international competition. During his UAB tenure (2014-2017), Mehinti demonstrated consistent improvement, averaging 5.6 points and 4.2 rebounds as a senior while starting 16 of the final 19 games. His strengths include strong finishing ability near the basket, solid rebounding instincts, and springy athleticism. Originally arriving in the U.S. with just two years of American basketball experience, Mehinti's international pedigree—including FIBA African Qualifier experience averaging 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds—suggests a player who thrives in competitive environments. Best suited for teams seeking a versatile, athletic forward who can contribute on the glass and in transition.
