Chase Richter gives Arkansas State a proven lefty with late-inning bite and weekend-start upside
In the 2025 season, Chase Richter was one of Arkansas State’s most trusted arms, ranking third in the Sun Belt with 28 appearances and second in the league with eight saves while posting a 3.67 ERA and holding hitters to a .198 average. He showed swing-and-miss stuff with 53 strikeouts in 54.0 innings, and the Red Wolves leaned on him in big spots; in 2026, he also got weekend-start looks, hinting at a broader role. He looks like a competitive, versatile left-hander who can help a staff in leverage or rotation duty.
