Big-arm, low-mileage SFA QB with efficient 2024 flashes
Dalton McElyea’s 2024 profile at Stephen F. Austin was tiny but intriguing: in 2024 he completed 2 of 3 passes for 35 yards and 2 touchdowns, then also added 9 rushing yards on 3 carries, showing efficient red-zone punch rather than volume production. He’s a 6-foot-3 quarterback with a lean frame and a low-risk, high-efficiency calling card so far, but the sample size is very small and he hasn’t yet built a full starter’s résumé. If you want a developmental QB with upside and no obvious turnover baggage, he’s worth a closer look.
