Long, disruptive edge defender with real SEC reps
Umeozulu entered 2026 as a fourth-year South Carolina defender with rare length at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, plus 36 games of experience and 30 career tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and six QB hurries for the Gamecocks. His appeal is less about splashy stat volume and more about traits: size, frame, and the ability to bother quarterbacks as a versatile front-seven piece. In 2025, he flashed with 19 tackles, 1.0 sack, and 2.0 tackles for loss, making him a fit for teams that value upside, edge-setting, and developmental pass-rush tools.
