Trosky’s been a line-drive machine for SDSU, and the Aztecs are loving the stability
In the 2026 season, Jabin Trosky has been a high-contact, everyday shortstop for San Diego State, starting 58 of 60 games and hitting .324 with 77 hits, 52 runs, 27 RBIs, and a team-second seven-game run of multiple-hit performances, while also earning first-team All-Mountain West and Academic All-America honors. He’s the kind of fit a coach wants: reliable glove, tough at-bats, and enough athleticism to chip in on the bases and turn the lineup over. The differentiator here is consistency—steady production, low-drama, and pro-level dependability.
