West Virginia DB Deuce Shabazz II brings veteran depth and turnover instincts
Shabazz enters West Virginia as an active, experienced defensive back who adds size, maturity, and proven ball production, with the Mountaineers listing him at 5'11", 186 pounds and crediting him with 63 tackles, five tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, and an interception as a senior in high school[1][3]. His appeal is not just stats: he profiles as a reliable, assignment-sound DB with natural playmaking flashes and the versatility to help in coverage and run support, making him a useful fit for a team that values depth and competitive toughness[1][3].
