Brock Mayer is Fullerton’s late-inning stabilizer with real swing-and-miss juice
In the 2026 season, Brock Mayer has been a useful relief arm for Cal State Fullerton, with multiple strong outings that show he can enter traffic and get outs, including 2.1 shutout innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts against Cal Poly, and two scoreless innings with three strikeouts at Oregon State. He looks like a heavy, right-handed competitor who can handle leverage, but the walk/run hiccups in a few appearances suggest command is the separator between “trusted piece” and “must-have” bullpen weapon. If you want toughness, innings, and strikeout upside, he’s a fit.
