Jackson State’s 23.3-Point Engine and SWAC POY
Ruffin was the 2026 SWAC Player of the Year after a monster season for Jackson State, leading the conference with 23.3 points per game and adding 5.3 assists, 3.8 made free throws, and 1.6 steals per game. He’s a compact, high-usage guard who can create his own shot, get to the line, and pile up playmaking volume—plus he’s been a true takeover scorer, including a 38-point conference outburst in 2026. The watch-out is size and efficiency consistency, but if your team needs a relentless, proven bucket-getter with real lead-guard juice, he’s absolutely worth caring about.
