New Orleans’ high-upside transfer arm with instant strikeout pop
In the 2026 season, Clarke has been a low-risk, high-upside reliever for New Orleans: he has worked 1.1 innings across two appearances without allowing an earned run, and he punched out two in his second outing against Jackson State. He arrived after stops at Florida Gulf Coast and the College of Central Florida, where he showed swing-and-miss ability, including 37 strikeouts in 35 innings at Central Florida. The appeal is the live arm and immediate competitiveness; the question is whether he can turn that brief burst into a longer, dependable bullpen role.
