Mason Barth brings athletic, high-contact infield upside to Notre Dame
Barth is a strong infield prospect whose value starts with proven bat-to-ball ability, gap power, and game-changing on-base skills; Notre Dame lists him as a four-year varsity starter, three-time all-state selection, school record holder in stolen bases, walks, and hit-by-pitch, and a second-ranked shortstop in Indiana by Perfect Game.[6] In his 2025 high school season, he hit .528 with 3 home runs, 4 triples, 6 doubles, and 50 runs scored, then carried that approach to Notre Dame with a .302 average and .852 OPS in his first 20 college games.[4][2] He looks like a polished, competitive infielder who fits a team needing table-setting offense and athletic consistency.[2][6]
