Fresno State’s Ah’Marion Ashley is a depth-piece DB still fighting for a breakout
Ah’Marion Ashley enters the 2026 season as a 5-foot-10, 165-pound sophomore defensive back for Fresno State, but official team records show he did not appear in either the 2024 redshirt-freshman or 2025 sophomore seasons. That makes him more of a developmental prospect than a proven stat-sheet stuffer right now, which means his value comes from upside, length/speed fit, and how quickly he can translate camp reps into game trust. Fresno State’s fall-camp spotlight included him among the returnees in the defensive back room, so he’s still in the mix—but he’s a watch-list guy, not a known commodity yet.
