Georgia’s 6-foot-5 edge linebacker is a developmental, high-upside run defender
Darren Ikinnagbon is a long, physical outside linebacker for Georgia whose best traits are his frame, burst, and run-defense upside: ESPN lists him at 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, and EA’s ratings give him strong marks for acceleration, pursuit, hit power, and tackling. In 2025, he played in five games and logged two tackles, so he’s still very much a projection player rather than a finished product. Recruit evaluators praised his ability to set the edge and win with second effort, but also noted he was raw technically, which makes him a better fit for a patient, development-heavy defense than an immediate plug-and-play role.[1][2][5][11][17]
