Big-bodied TE with Air Force polish, but Florida’s 2025 retirement update changes the picture
Rillos arrived at Florida in 2024 as a 6-foot-5, 252-pound transfer with a reputation as an athletic, high-upside receiving tight end who also developed real blocking chops in Air Force’s triple-option attack. In 2023 at Air Force, he played in all 13 games with 11 starts and posted 8 catches for 97 yards, which fits the profile of a versatile, physical TE who can do the dirty work and still sneak into the passing game. The key wrinkle: a 2025 report said he medically retired from football and moved into a student assistant role, so his on-field fit is now more about football IQ and presence than production.
