Cole Raile is a Buster Posey Watchlist catcher who brings pop, run production, and elite control of the running game
Raile has been one of VMI’s most complete players in 2026, pairing middle-of-the-order power with premium catching value: he was named to the Buster Posey Award midseason watchlist and is producing big offensive numbers while also throwing out 13 runners, the most by any catcher in the Southern Conference. He stands out as a high-impact fit for teams that want a catcher who can punish mistakes, manage a pitching staff, and change games defensively; the stat line says impact, and the watchlist recognition backs up the broader scouting view.
