Trenton Leary brings Texas Southern a versatile, explosive-touch weapon
In the 2024 season, Trenton Leary was one of Texas Southern’s most productive playmakers with 41 catches for 417 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns, and he added value as a runner and return threat too[3][8][11]. What makes him interesting is the multi-phase upside: he’s not just a slot-target receiver, he can create yards after the catch, handle gadget work, and flip field position on special teams[10][11]. At 5'9" and 155 pounds, he profiles as an undersized but active, high-motor fit for a staff that wants versatility and hidden-yardage juice[5][6].
