Texas Tech’s strikeout-heavy righty who’s fighting back from injury
In the 2024 season, Texas Tech RHP Jacob Rogers flashed real bat-missing stuff: 36 strikeouts in 29 innings, a team-best 11.2 K/9, and whiffed at least one hitter in 18 of 20 outings, which is exactly the kind of swing-and-miss profile coaches love. His 2025 season was interrupted by an early injury, so the big question is health, not raw ability. If you need a live arm with punchout upside and competitive bite, he’s intriguing; if you need a fully proven, durable weekend anchor, this is still a work in progress.
