Elite Movement Shooter and Proven College-First Scorer
McDermott is best known for his polished, high-efficiency scoring profile as a creaky-quick but deadly off-ball shooter, and Creighton fans remember him as one of the program’s greats; in the NBA, he most recently provided spacing and veteran shot-making, averaging 5.5 points while shooting 41.0% from three in the 2023-24 season, which underscores his value as a floor-spacer rather than a do-everything creator[4][6]. His fit depends on whether a team needs a specialist who can punish help defense, run disciplined offense, and stay professional in a role, not a primary ball-handler or stopper[4].
