In the 2025 season, Southern Indiana’s Jake Porter gave the Screaming Eagles a reliable left-handed starter/reliever hybrid, finishing with 47 strikeouts in 50 innings while tying for second on the team with four wins and earning OVC Players to Watch recognition for 2026.[4][5] Coaches praised his ability to be “electric” from the left side and to miss bats, while also noting that added consistency and innings volume are the next step.[9]
