Carson Saucier brings young-catching upside to Alabama State
A freshman catcher for Alabama State in the 2026 season, Carson Saucier is a compact 5'10", 165-pound right-handed hitter/thrower from Eclectic, Alabama, and the early appeal is projection: catching value, local pedigree, and room to add strength as he matures. Public roster data confirms his freshman status and catcher profile, while his high school background shows he’s been on the radar as a two-way style player with a catcher/outfield track. The big question isn’t flash — it’s whether his developing bat and receiving can grow fast enough to earn real Hornets innings.
