Freshman run-stopper with local roots and wrestler-tough edge
Cole Wilson is a 6-foot-4, 245-pound freshman defensive tackle for Portland State in the 2026 season, and the early read is a high-motor interior defender with a wrestler’s background and a mean streak that fits the trenches nicely.[1][2] Portland State’s staff describes him as “an awesome football player to watch,” and his Banks High resume backs that up: as a senior he posted 59 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks, plus strong multi-sport production in wrestling and track.[2] He looks like a developmental disruptor for a team that wants toughness, leverage, and chase speed inside.[2]
