Stony Brook’s hard-throwing rookie righty still finding his footing
In the 2026 season, Reilly Bridges gave Stony Brook a power-arm look out of the bullpen, appearing in 9 games and striking out 10 over 10.0 innings, but he also carried a 9.90 ERA as a freshman. The upside is obvious: at 6-foot-5, he has the frame and right-handed profile coaches love for future leverage innings, and he already showed he can miss bats. The question for a team is whether they can harness the stuff and clean up the run prevention—classic developmental project with real bullpen potential.
