Crossley is a disruptive, high-IQ defensive back who made his name at SMU with ball production, run support, and position flexibility: in 2024 he appeared in all 14 games with 35 tackles, 7 pass breakups, a 1.5-TFL line, and a scoop-and-score against TCU, and he earned All-ACC Honorable Mention.[6][13] He also flashed earlier as a ballhawk with 4 interceptions in 2022 and has moved between corner and safety, which makes him useful for teams needing adaptable depth rather than just a pure cover specialist.[6][11][13]
