Siera Hoekstra gives Rutgers a steady lefty bat with pop and senior poise
In the 2026 season, Siera Hoekstra hit .289 with a .942 OPS for Rutgers, adding 3 home runs, 16 RBI, 29 walks and 5 steals, while finishing hot with a .500 series against Wisconsin that included 5 hits and 2 homers. She’s the kind of INF who fits because she’s disciplined, experienced, and annoyingly tough to speed up—strong plate skills, sneaky power, and the calm of a four-year starter. Her background as a two-time captain also screams dependable leader, not just box-score filler.
