Amaya Carroll brings two-way value and veteran polish to UMBC
A preseason All-Conference pick for 2026, Carroll is a versatile **P/IF** who gives UMBC reliable production on both sides of the ball and the kind of lineup flexibility coaches love. She has a career .261 average with nine homers and 49 RBIs, and in 2024 hit .309 with 26 RBIs while mostly playing shortstop; her 2025 line dipped to .215, but she still added four homers, 19 RBIs, and perfect stolen-base efficiency. The fit is best for teams that value a competitive two-way player with proven conference recognition and upside beyond the box score.[3][1]
