Kelsey Sawvell brings elite receiving, all-fields power, and a proven winning pedigree behind the plate
Sawvell enters Coastal Carolina as a sophomore catcher/utility bat with a decorated high-school resume: four straight first-team all-conference, all-district, and all-region selections, plus school records for career hits (175) and RBIs (155). Coastal’s coaching staff has specifically praised her for solid power to all fields and elite receiving skills, and noted she can also handle the hot corner. She already showed up in live action for Coastal in 2026 with extra-base impact, making her a compelling fit for teams valuing defensive reliability, offensive upside, and positional flexibility.[1][4][5]
