Matt Johnson gives Widener a steady senior guard who can chip in across the board
In the 2025-26 season, Matt Johnson is a senior guard for Widener listed at 5'10" and 165 pounds, with a history of contributing as a connector rather than a pure volume scorer[1][2]. Widener’s roster and game logs show him in the rotation, and his 2024-25 bio notes he averaged 3.1 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 rebounds, which points to a reliable, low-drama guard who can handle the ball, keep possessions organized, and fit a system that values toughness and discipline[1][13].
