Big frame, real strikeout feel, and still searching for consistency
In the 2025 season, Seton Hall RHP Tomas Cestero showed a real bat-missing foundation — 34 strikeouts in 33.2 innings — but also battled run prevention, finishing with an 8.29 ERA across 12 appearances. The upside is easy to see: at 6-foot-5 with a power pitcher’s build, he’s been praised as a high-end New Jersey arm, and he flashed it in a seven-strikeout, 6.2-inning gem against Monmouth. If your team wants a projectable righty with swing-and-miss traits and starter tools, he’s interesting; if you need polished command right now, he’s still a work in progress.
