Lucas Vargo brings pro-size upside and strike-throwing pedigree to Wofford
Lucas Vargo is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher from Acworth, Georgia, entering Wofford with a strong bat-missing resume: in high school he logged 85 strikeouts against 22 walks over 56.2 innings with a 0.99 ERA, and he added 30 strikeouts in 19.2 summer innings for USA Prime. He profiles as a high-upside arm with size, deception, and command, which is a good fit for teams that value projectable pitchers who can grow into more velocity and innings. The pitchability and low-walk track record are the real selling points here.
