Villanova’s steady, clutch floor general
Gillespie built his reputation at Villanova as a calm, high-IQ guard who can space the floor, rebound well for his size, and lead with toughness; Villanova’s own profile calls him a steady 3-point shooter and terrific rebounder from the guard spot. He’s also the kind of connector who elevates a team’s poise, not just its box score, after overcoming injuries and still earning Big East Player of the Year honors and All-American recognition in college. If you want a competitive, experienced, low-drama guard who impacts winning, he fits the bill.
