Local arm with Louisiana roots, but limited 2026 runway
Will Taylor is a Lafayette-area right-hander whose biggest selling point is projection: at 6-3 and 185 pounds, he brings starter-style frame, local familiarity, and a high-school résumé that included being ranked among Louisiana’s top prep arms. Louisiana listed him on the 2026 roster, but his 2026 game action was minimal, and reports later indicated he entered the transfer portal after a short season. He looks like a fit for a staff that values upside, development, and arm talent over immediate volume—less “finished product,” more “bet on the heater.”
