Jaxon Murphy is UC Davis’ clutch lefty outfielder with pop, speed, and late-game juice
In the 2026 season, Jaxon Murphy has been a steady, multi-impact bat for UC Davis: he hit .252 with 29 hits, six doubles, three homers, 18 RBI, and seven walks across 38 games, and he’s delivered big moments like a three-run homer at Santa Clara and a 3-for-3, two-RBI night vs. Sacramento State. He stands out as a left-handed hitter who can change a game with extra-base power, run production, and enough athleticism to contribute in the outfield. If a team wants a competitive, situationally dangerous corner-outfield bat with proven clutch instincts, Murphy looks like a real fit.
