versatile NC State safety working back from injury
Barnhardt is a junior safety who brings real run-support pop, proven high-school production, and starting experience at NC State, but his 2026 value is tied to a comeback after a season-ending injury in 2025. NC State says he has earned a spot on the 2026 Comeback Player of the Year watch list after appearing in three games last season and recording a career-high 60 snaps with seven tackles before getting hurt. His appeal is toughness, versatility, and a history of making plays all over the field, which makes him a strong fit for teams that want physicality and accountability in the back end.
