Tyler Bailey brings veteran range and physicality to Sam Houston’s secondary
Tyler Bailey is a fifth-year safety for Sam Houston who showed real value in the 2025 season, appearing in all 12 games with 5 starts and posting 49 tackles, 3 passes defended, 1 interception, and 0.5 sacks. He’s a compact 6-foot, 195-pound defensive back with multi-year experience, and his self-described identity as a fast, physical, smart rover fits the tape and the production. The big selling point: dependable, assignment-sound versatility with enough pop to help on the back end and in the run game.
