6-foot-7 bullpen weapon giving Campbell leverage innings
In the 2026 season, Braxton Shaffer emerged as a high-leverage righty for Campbell, posting a 2-0 record with three saves, a 3.42 ERA, 39 strikeouts in 26.1 innings, and a .154 opponent batting average while earning honorable mention All-CAA. His appeal is obvious: a huge 6-foot-7 frame, strikeout stuff, and the ability to finish games or bridge tight spots, including scoreless, multi-inning outings against Charleston, UNCW, and Coastal Carolina. If a team wants a competitive, late-inning arm with real swing-and-miss upside, Shaffer absolutely merits attention.
