Josh Stephen is JMU’s steady senior floor general
In the 2025-26 season, Josh Stephen projects as a reliable, experienced point-guard type for James Madison: a 6-foot, 165-pound senior who brings poise, ball-handling and playmaking, with JMU listing him as a preseason First Team All-Sun Belt selection. His 2024-25 season line was strong enough to matter—he played in 32 games, started 18, led the Dukes with 113 assists, and averaged 3.5 assists per game, including four 20-point outings and a season-high 27 at Georgia Southern. If a team wants a tough, high-IQ guard who can organize an offense and keep the engine humming, he fits the bill.
