Johnny Crnogorac brings rim protection and steady interior production
Crnogorac is a true center who stands out more for defense than scoring: in the 2026 NBL1 East season, he averaged 3.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 14.0 minutes per game, while his career pro line shows 8.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists across 70 games.[1][2] His best differentiator is shot-blocking, and UTRGV’s own bio/roster history shows he has long been a physical, defense-first big with size at 7-1, 220-225 pounds.[3][7] For a team needing paint deterrence, rebounding, and low-usage interior minutes, he looks like a useful fit.[1][5]
