Hayden Capers is a workhorse righty with starter upside at UIW
In the 2026 season, Hayden Capers has flashed the profile of a durable right-handed arm for Incarnate Word, including a six-inning, one-run outing against New Orleans to earn his first win and help steady the Cardinals' rotation[1][2]. At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, he brings starter size, and his value is tied to giving his team innings and keeping contact manageable when he’s in rhythm[3]. He’s not a loud-mouthed highlight machine; he’s more of a “take the ball and compete” guy, which makes him a sensible fit for a staff that wants grit, length, and low-drama reliability[1][6].
